Since this is a long weekend as today is a public holiday due to the King’s birthday , I drove down from home to Melaka on Friday with my aunt and uncle . We spend one night in Melaka which is always a pleasure as Melaka is lively . My aunt and uncle was happy with the hotel we stayed in .

On Saturday morning, we drove by using the old road to Muar which took us about 1 hour passing by small towns and villages . So I went to look at the house in Muar to see the progress that was being made there.

The above photos shows the state of the garden shed progress because I had to remove the tools , wiring & traps from the Rumah Kebun into the garden shed which is not set up yet . However, the shed ordered from Shopee has arrived .

The house now somehow looks bigger and is more spacious than before . The square footage is the same though. The house is progressing nicely . Got approach by a man who asked me whether I was interested to tar the cemented driveway , I would be interested in a gravel driveway but not a tarred one .

After visiting the house in Muar , we drove to Johore Bahru and spend 2 nights. There were many , many Singaporean cars on the highways in JB. From reading the news, due to a public holiday in Singapore , 250,000 people have crossed over to Johor from Singapore using the two causeways !! No wonder , the hotel was packed with Singaporeans. Was driving using GPS on the highway and traffic policemen on motorbikes stopped our driving lane to allow cars to go to the Woodlands Checkpoint . I had no time to go to Singapore , but the next visit will try and see whether I can go to a performance at a theatre in Singapore .

Went and visited my late aunt’s house in Johore Bahru as the house & land I bought in Muar was hers . Went to see my cousin and more of that in my next blog !
