The garden shed has been installed . Now, Encik Rahman can transfer the garden tools and items into the garden shed that was previously in the Rumah Kebun. The garden shed is in the kebun . The contractor has got to lay down a concrete slab and the ground is on a higher level incase it rains heavily.

I need to check whether the garden shed can be locked . I have told Encik Rahman that the garden shed is installed and to transfer items that was in the Rumah Kebun into the garden shed . The layout of the garden shed is parallel to the Rumah Kebun but separated by a fence .

The kitchen is L-shaped with a sink at the window. I am using the leftover white tiles left in my condo to do the backsplash for the kitchen. The tiles have been the remainder left overs when I did the reno for my second bathroom in my condo . I am just using whatever materials left over because I might as well as these are left-overs . This includes blinds for the bedrooms and sink covers for the bathroom. That is why , I want to restore some pieces of furniture that my father has in his house and bring those furniture to Muar as if not, it might be used but not as lovingly as I would use it . Restoration is probably not the most cost-effective method and probably less costly to just buy new furniture from say , IKEA which I am reluctant to do . Old furniture has memories and a patina which I like . Besides , some old furniture is of good wood and has character and life of its own which new furniture does not.

Got blinds too but need to dry clean the blinds first before I can use them so I need to carefully detach the blinds from the velcro and the knotted strings . I can only use 2 existing blinds for the 2nd bedroom windows . The other blinds are too short in width . I need to check whether I can use the lace curtains I bought ages ago from a shop ( drats , forgot the name !) in India .

The kitchen is suppose to be open shelving as I do not want closed shelves . Let’s see how that looks like .

Need to get back to work . Had a faculty meeting the whole morning !
