Smart Lock is installed at the front door . The Front Door is at the what-was-the-side-door of the original layout of the house . The front door is nyatoh wood and has been varnished with a natural finish .

The Porch has the original tiles . The contractor asked me whether I wanted to do the same as in pour concrete with steel railings for the porch like for the house . Actually , due to rain , a little water has been stagnant at the porch because this shows that the foundation of the porch is not stable and is slightly sinking . This is because the porch’s foundation is not laid out on concrete and steel railing like what I did for the main house. Eventually, there might have cracks in the porch due to rain over a period of time . However, this will cost me more money so decided to postpone this till the cracks actually appear I guess.

Cracks might appear like the above but this has to wait till the cracks actually do appear at the porch before I do something about it . The contractor suggested a temporary solution of providing extra footage of the gutters so that water will be re-directed slightly away from the porch . However, with tropical thunderstorms , water will still come on to the porch so this is as I say a temporary solution to water stagnation on the porch . I had visions of cracks appearing like what I see in the movies but the contractor says probably not massive cracks like earthquake cracks . My imagination is running wild as probably seen too many natural disaster movies !
