I was able to transport 3 chairs to the restorer’s shop last Saturday . The three chairs fit into the boot of my car as the back seats are collapsible. There are only 2 chairs left in my condo so that’s the errand to do next Saturday . There are 6 chairs in all.

I also need to pay for the timber flooring next Saturday because installers are coming to install the timber flooring for the 2 bedrooms the following Monday in Muar. That is another errand to do for next Saturday . At the moment ,I am in Ipoh attending a seminar for 3 days . As a digression , my Uni paid for the hotel room, meals and mileage allowance which I am so grateful for as well as giving me unrecorded leave YAY !

The hotel is pretty decent in Ipoh. Have not been to Ipoh for ages ! I had asked a girlfriend to come with me as she is from Ipoh. Unfortunately , she got COVID so I had to go on my own . I would always ask my dad to come with me as he usually likes the trip out of KL especially if the hotel is being paid by someone else ( in this case , my Uni ! ) ha ha ha . Room comes with breakfast for 2 but there’s only me , what a shame ! I miss my dad terribly especially during these times . Usually , I will ask him to come along with me if I was going off to attend research conferences out of KL & work trips and he always was willing to go. Its a change for him from being cooped up in the house though he does get tired . But he does not mind being left in the hotel room till I come back and we get dinner together .

Anyway, once the timber flooring is done in the Muar house , the only thing left will be the kitchen, the grills and CC cameras for the house . The timber flooring will be installed on the 28 August so I will probably go back to Muar to see that . I need to check my calendar when I can go back to Muar next .
