I have decided to install grills. I have no choice, sigh . There was a break-in sometime ago when the house used to belong to my late aunt and uncle according to Encik Rahman . Nothing was stolen as there was nothing valuable to steal as the thief was looking for petty cash or jewelry’s which are not kept in the house . My late aunt and uncle main residence is in JB and the house in Muar is like a holiday home for them so there is nothing valuable left in the house in Muar . Encik Rahman thinks so far this is what the thieves will look out for not furniture ( no value ) or electrical appliances such television, fridge etc. because that requires a small lorry to be around to tow those away. However, my sister whose brother-in-laws holiday house in Terengganu was ransacked of everything . If I recall correctly , the house was in a town area and she told me that when the in-laws returned to the house , it was empty , horrors!!

Just straight horizontal bars , grills will be placed in the house so that I can open the windows . There will be grills on all the windows and sliding doors , seems like a “penjara” ( Prison ), sigh . There will be a latch to two or three of the grills so that I can open the window and grills incases of emergency so that no one will be trapped inside the house due to the grills .

Grill patterns for the French Doors will be as the photo above. This is because I saw this grill patterns at somebody’s house in PJ looking out from a cafe . The grills is going to cost me as well but really, really , I have no choice .

Now , I have to make decisions on smoke detectors that comes wireless ! Technology today is incredible . This means that if a smoke detector triggers an alarm, a signal will come to my phone .

My contractor told me it is better to get a smoke detector that is wireless because if there is smoke alarm being triggered in the house , it will show on my phone ! This is especially useful since I do not live in Muar . The wonders of technology ! Got 5 types of wireless smoke detectors on Shopee and told my contractor to choose one and I will buy it . Need 3 smoke detectors for the main house and 1 for the Rumah Kebun . I cannot be bothered to look at the features of the smoke detectors now as I got to write an PhD Examiner’s Report and that is overdue, sigh . So told contractor , you make the choice and I just buy it . My contractor is great at giving advice as I did not think of wireless smoke detectors ! I will contact another insurance agent on the fire insurance for the house in Muar as I got the phone number from my insurance agent . This can be done when the furniture is already in the house . Gosh, still so many things to do .
