Valley of the Kings ; Rameses IV Tomb

Yesterday , we went to visit the Valley of the Kings after breakfast from Luxor . The Valley of the Kings is so named because of 62 tombs ( according to the guidebook 63 tombs ) of Kings being buried there . We managed to see 4 tombs . 3 tombs were included in the ticket but we paid extra to visit the tomb of Tutankhamen , the Boy King .

This is for the first tomb Rameses IV
Beautiful heliogrypics going down .Amazing colors from natural dyes
This is the journey into the After Life
These depictions but I have forgotten what they signify
Ceilings colors are spectacular
Spectacular

Going into the tombs was quite steep and was hot . However, this tomb is rather awesome . The mummy of Rameses IV is not there because all the mummies except for Tutankhamen ‘s body ( mummy) is being taken to museums . According to the guide, Abdul Rasool ( this happened 200 years ago ) started to find the mummies in a crypt and started selling these mummies . This is how word got out and the government stopped this selling of mummies . The mummies have been robbed of whatever artifacts were left at the mummies . But these robbers did not see the value of the mummies so these mummies were left alone . It was due to excavations or archielogical digs by Howard Carter in 1922 that these sacophagus were found .
