Karnak Temple at Luxor

Visited Karnak Temple at 3 pm so not too hot. The temple complex is 60 acres which is enormous .

Please do not ask me which god & what does it signify as there are 700 gods to choose from. OK OK , I found out by reading the book that these are ram-headed sphinxes , the ram being sacred to the God Amun, protect Rameses 11.

Why did I take this close -up ??Hmmmm…maybe the etchings intrigued me haha

I went around the scrab beetle ( stone thingy )around 7x anti- clockwise for good luck with this Canadian couple . Not too many American tourists due to the war in Gaza .
