Restoring dad’s furniture from the PJ house

The restorer came to the PJ house last Friday . Selected a few pieces of furniture that I wanted to be fixed . Costings were per item that was restored .

Wrought iron table that matches with the 4 chairs
My mum’s garden chairs, wrought iron . The cushions or inserts needs replacing . Needs sprucing up and the wrought iron needs to be strengthen .
Using this green ( not sure what shade of green . It is not olive green). Went to Janine at Bangsar to get this done in terms of the upholstery and cushion inserts .
Last of the 4 rattan chairs . Told the restorer to tie up the rattan &,vanish in a natural color. Cushions needs replacing.
Cushions will be this color which I am told is moss green.
The other two rattan chairs in the Muar house already. These rattan chairs were painted in white .

Altogether , there are 4 rattan single chairs as above . I got one rattan chair in my condo and the matching coffee table . There was a 3-seat rattan sofa but Ana took that and that got destroyed . She put the rattan sofa at her patio and the cleaner used detergents to wash her patio so that eats the rattan up . Such a pity but what to do . What is done is done .

Getting this cupboard restored. I can put table linen , blankets and bedlinen to store in .
Getting the bookshelf restored too. I could use that in the Rumah Kebun , I think .

The thing about restoring furniture is that one must have a place to put them after the furniture have been fixed . I want to use these furniture if I get them restored . I am thinking do I have space in the Muar house ? Mainly because the Muar house is not that big at all .

Old & used furniture have got personality besides of sentimental value ( because the furniture belonged to dad’s) compared to new furniture so I do not intend to buy any new furniture unless I have to . Let’s see how these furniture turn out when the restorer has been done with them . Restorer told me to take my time in terms of selecting which items of furniture I want restored . I will take my time on this as restoring furniture is 1) costly , is cheaper to buy new furniture . Have done the Maths on this . 2) need to think of the space – whether I have the space to put these items of furniture.
