Solo Trip to Muar – Day 2

First thing in the morning . I set out to Linda’s daughter house to have breakfast with her . Her daughter recommended this cafe which served good food but only for breakfast and tea . There was a queue maybe because it’s Sunday morning but Linda told me its a popular place .

Cafe was in a small lorong ( lane or Soi in Thai ha ha ha ), hence the name , Cafe Lorong . Food was great and had fresh pineapple juice with no sugar , really refreshing. There was live music blasting away on Sunday morning ! That music would not go down too well among residents in PJ . People here do not seem to mind and they do not honk ! Amazing .

Got the oven fixed as the wire of the oven was not long enough to reach the electric plug point before .Tested the oven . I had to search for the manual as could not find it among all the other manuals I have . I had to download a soft copy from the Internet to get the oven to work. Oven now works fine .

Added another smaller AC unit as the only cassette AC in the living room was still not strong enough to cool the room . Now, there is a smaller AC unit facing the dining table which is a lot better as it’s cooler especially when I am sitting on the table to do work on my laptop .

I bought one extra new AC unit and a smaller TV set which is now connected to Netflix . Need to add this on my EXCEL Worksheet in terms of overall costings of the house . The men from the local electrical shop came to fix all this up which is a relief because it saves me calling an local electrician up.

Went for a walk at Tanjung in the evening with a new friend who is the next-door neighbor’s daughter . She works at HSBC . Later on had Chinese vegetarian meal with her in town. Had an interesting chat with her. I think I found a new friend . Her mother who is my next-door neighbor is most helpful . She is always giving me fruits while I give her nothing in return.

This ends my Sunday at Muar.
