Fruit Trees

Since I have the time now to blog while waiting , I might as well blog about the fruit trees at the Muar house and the kebun , which is at the back of the house .

2 Mata Kuching trees in the front garden was fruiting while I was there on 3rd October

The mata kuchings were sweet but the skin is thin unlike the commercial grown ones that I buy at the market . Those mata kuching are bigger in size , fleshier and the skin thicker than the mata kuchings I have in my garden. Mata kuchings are the local species and probably of the same family of the lychees . There were 4 mata kuching trees in the front garden originally . However, 2 trees had to be cut down as the roots were invasive .

Duku fruiting in the kebun. However, only on 2 trees .
One bowl of dukus for my eating pleasure. Just enough.

Will be able to see whether there are dukus still fruiting at the kebun when I come back this week.
