First thing in the morning was to

Inspect the fencing at the kebun with Encik Rahman . Encik Rahman brought kueh so we had that with coffee at the house .Discovered 3 holes / gaps at the fencing caused by wild boars . They love burrowing in the  soft mud for worms. Took a walk right till the end of the kebun , was sweating profusely .

Encik Rahman  will get small stones to make a pathway in the kebun so that it will be easier to walk in the kebun. He will patch up the gaps in the fencing . Not sure whether barb wire will deter the wild boars.

Met Hamid, the gardener and told him about the hedges that needs to be planted to give some needed shade ( hopefully ) and privacy to the house.

Went to visit a huge nursery with my friend Linda to choose plants that are suitable to be hedges.

The fence is abt 15 metres so needs 75 small plants of 1 ft tall . Hopefully, if there are hedges, this will give some relief from direct sun onto the house. The house is very hot but the bedrooms are cooler as they are facing away from the sun . Also, the house can be clearly seen from the main road . Hopefully, if the hedges grow tall enough to have density to obscure not all but some  the main house. I was very impressed by the nursery as it is huge . Probably their clients are developers who have mega projects. Its not a garden nursery that a person walks around as the grounds were extensive . You kinda need to know what type of plants you want.

Was tempted to buy a camelia but difficult to grow . Bought honeysuckle of 1 each of orange and yellow color out of a whim ha ha .

Made arrangements with the guy at the Nursery , who Linda called dorky ( haha ) because he did look like a dork. But he was nice enough to show us around and since the garden nursery was so huge , gave us a ride in his pick- up to look at plants .

Ordered the plants and told Hamid, the gardener on delivery of the plants as I will not be around in Muar. All these arrangements tired me out !!

Now, to talk to Hamid on growing the darn hedges !
