There will be 2 bedrooms with an attached bathroom in the main house. The living, dining and kitchen area will be open plan with a small patio at the back of the house .
Area of square foot for the main house is about 1, 170 square feet so its not a big house . However, the main house with the rumah kebun sits on approximately 1/2 acre of land . This is a departure from the original plan of the main house of 3 small bedrooms & 2 small bathrooms . I am not extending the square feet of the house, just making use of the existing square footage as extending the square footage will require prior approval from the Muar Town Council . So rather not have that hassle !

I bought old teak doors for the patio & front doors of the house at a kind of a antiques yard while driving from Muar to KL . I bought 2 set of doors and my contractor not too happy with me. This is because these old doors do not fit the modern specs of doors and she needs to build the walls around the old doors rather than the other way around. But I like em doors !! I especially like the old frosted glass but there’s another problem of security because burglars can break the glass to get into the house, sigh!! I like old things as the patina of these old items have a character that you don’t find in furniture from IKEA , for example(Ugh!).
I bought 4 set of these “outdoor lights” from the same antiques yard . I want to put these in the attached bathroom, much to the mortification of my contractor. She thinks I am slightly barmy in my ideas of ID for the house !!

Also, as you can see from the plan, she puts the beds against the wall ? Why ?? I don’t understand that ! Why can’t the bed be in the middle of the bedroom ! Is there an absolute Law of Decor or what ? Feng Shui, contractor says!

OK, got to stop and do some e-grading . Will try and download the images of pendant lights I bought on Insta when I was in Bahrain.
