I have not blogged for some time like 3 weeks now because since going back to Muar , have not had 1) time 2) nothing much to report really on the progress of the house .

I will have a discussion on the house in Muar with the contractor this Saturday in terms of what else needs to be done for the house . Tentative date for moving the furniture from PJ to the house will be in January , 2024 . I will have some time then as I am planning to take annual leave from work.

Open fire burning is not allowed because it adds to the air pollution index and the Town Council if found out will hand out fines to people who do open burning . However, Encik Rahman says if small open fire burning then this should be ok if no neighbors report to the Town Council ( Majlis) . You can see the garden shed in this short video . The garden shed I bought at Shopee but the workers assembled it and put the shed on a concrete slab. This makes the garden shed on a higher level than the ground which should then mean that if it rains heavily ( which it does often ) then water will not be able to seep through into the garden shed.

The photo shows the back of the house with the French doors . On the left is the Rumah Kebun . I need to fix the grills and wired CC TV to make the house secure as this is Malaysia , sigh . At the moment , because the house is empty , this is fine .

I have to seriously think of landscaping the garden . Toying with the idea of a vegetable garden or potager ( kitchen garden ) and a chicken coop . So lets see what next year brings .

    Well well a lot to do ya Ora – d Kebun looks clean n coming up yr house little by little n finishing up – wish to go back to Muar to c d progress but being a bit busy wt Mak Itams duties bound n also d Indon maid to deal wt.

    Like d way Rahman do up d Kebun n looks v much cleaner just like when Aruah Pak uteh Salleh was there.

    Great yr house will b Ora can’t wait to c it.

    When u r ready wt yr house n comes to land scape that will b d last to go I already asked Hafiz who is in Muar n he knows majis kandscaper plus also d Chinese so can ask d quotations n some ginger plants can have from my house as I also have put in d pots if u wish. U can choose d plants fr my house whenever u r free to come to add to d landscapers need as am sure u have ideas what u want for yr house.

    Vege no problem as I have Serai Kesom langkuas pudina kunyit helia kangkong also kuchai in d pots n on d ground too nice when u want to fry Mee just pluck

    Watering plants initial stage is a problem n hope can get someone to do it n d cost.

    Can’t wait to c yr beautiful country home ! Am imagining how serene n homely it will b!!!!

    Very sorry for this late reply but I have been very busy and occupied with work .
    Thanks very much for your help , it is much appreciated . I will wait for awhile before I do the garden up as need to do the security first .
