Encik Rahman have been trying to clear out the kebun at the back of the house . My late uncle went into a mania of overplanting (that’s my guess !) so the fruit trees are planted too close to each other . As a result, the trees are not fruiting . Encik Rahman needs to clear up by a) cutting away the branches of the trees and b)slowly poisoning the roots of the trees . Jungle canes are particularly resistant to cutting off as they grow back so probably have to clear the vines by burning.

I have not been back to Muar ever since Ramadan so probably a good 3 months . Was too tired to drive during Ramadan and with Eid Fitri ( Hari Raya ) was just too busy with office invitations . Could not find a weekend free to drive to Muar . Trying to check on dates in July for the going to drive down to Muar. The good thing is that I am able to work from home starting from this July as the university has allowed academic staff to work from home . So , I am planning to go back to Muar for a couple of days , and I could possibility work from Muar house since there is Internet in the house . Let see how this goes though.

The contractor is going down again on the 21st of this month to adjust and fix the light sconces at the walls and the bathroom. He can fix the smoke detectors as well for the house . One for each bedroom and one for the living/dining /kitchen.

The smoke detectors reasonably priced and connected by apps on my mobile . Everything is now connected by apps and can be downloaded on the mobile. The wonders of technology !

I have arrange for the more furniture of the house to be moved by lorry to Muar . Just waiting for the restorer to finish restoring all the pieces of furniture so that I can do that in one-go instead of transferring bits & pieces to Muar . No hurry really as I get stressed if I find too many things to do as will find this overwhelming !

I need to take fire insurance for the house but only after all the furniture is in the house so that can be for the later part of the year .
