Trip out to Venice, 14 Sept 2026 Day 6

Today in the morning, we took a walk around Burano to search for a supermarket ha ! Found a supermarket and bought groceries.

It was quite a long vaperetto ( water bus ) from Burano to St.Marks, maybe 45 minutes with a change .

Florian’s Cafe at St.Mark’s. The oldest cafe in the world. I need to check that fact.

We walked around St.Marks and it got so hot. So we sat at a cafe and had snacks and a cold drink .

We went to St.Giorgio to see a Murano  glass exhibition which was free. Then sat down and had a cold drink at the cafe because it was so hot . St.Giorgio is opposite of St.Marks , a short vaperetto ride .

Then we took another way around the Venice by the vaperetto through the local residential areas , the non-touristy parts. It was quite a long way in the vaperetto to Murano. Had to change Murano to get another vaperetto to Burano. It was a hot day .
